Ciao, I’m Vania

MY STORY

I’m Italian, part of my family is French, and I currently call London home. But the journey that brought me here—at 46, leaving everything I knew—was about much more than geography. It was about finding myself and becoming the person I was always meant to be.

My teaching style has always been shaped by my creativity and my passions for literatures, cultures, theatre, music, and travel—and above all by the desire to build authentic, real connections with my students and help them reach their potential. Because I believe that learning requires, first of all, a relationship and a journey. Language is not just words: it is the gateway to a culture, an identity, a way of seeing the world. Building bridges between cultures is not a teaching technique for me—it is who I am.

From Italy to London: A Journey of Transformation

My qualifications reflect years of dedication to education and cultural connection:

  • Degree in French and English Language and Literature (University of Bologna)

  • Two Masters degrees in teaching

  • QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) – UK secondary school teaching qualification

  • CELTA Certificate for teaching English

  • CILS Examiner Certification for Italian citizenship exams

  • Specialization in Special Needs Education (SEN)

  • Specialized training in theatre, psychology, and cultural studies

For 17 years, I taught English and French Language and Literature in Italian secondary schools. I was also a Special Needs (SEN) teacher and ran an extracurricular Drama program. Beyond the classroom, I founded and led “Touchée,” a cultural association dedicated to promoting culture and music—organizing theatrical shows with live student performances and music festivals in collaboration with local authorities and private companies.

At 46, I made a decision that many thought was reckless: I left my secure teaching position, packed my life into suitcases, and moved to London. I wasn’t running away from anything—I was running toward something.

I chose London specifically because of its unique energy: vibrant, multicultural, a real sphere for ideas and creativity. Here, I could finally bring together all the different parts of myself—the Italian roots, the French family heritage, the love of theatre and music, the passion for teaching—without having to fit into a single box. London taught me to embrace complexity, celebrate differences, and find beauty in the intersection of cultures. And that became the foundation of everything I create for my students.

What I do and why

I help cosmopolitan professionals—frustrated by fragmented learning, blocked by speaking anxiety, curious about culture as much as language—speak with confidence, embrace cultural differences, and transform language learning into personal growth.

I believe in multiculturality. I believe in every person’s unique talent. And I believe that nothing is impossible—if you want something, you can achieve it. My move to London at 46 is the living proof.

Through the VIVACE Method, I teach not only the language but the culture behind it—its art, history, traditions, and ways of thinking. And I go further: I weave each student’s own identity, background, and cultural experience into the learning journey, because the most powerful lessons happen when what you already are becomes part of what you are discovering.

The result? My students don’t just acquire a language—they discover a new dimension of themselves. They move from grammatical anxiety and expressive frustration to the joy of authentic communication, in an atmosphere that is surprisingly light, creative, and human. Every lesson becomes an oasis in their daily routine: a moment they genuinely look forward to.
